Copenhagen
The
capital city Copenhagen was founded in 1167 by Bishop Absalon and
proclaimed the nation's capital in 1417. Situated on the island
of Zealand, it is a charming city with a unique blend of old and
new, the skyline is a silhouette of copper roofs, church steeples
and palaces. It's also a modern city as it is the commercial and
industrial capital of Denmark.
Why Copenhagen? Because it's a city on a human scale, where the
natives are very friendly and just as the song describes, it is
wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen.
