Since the start in 1998, Stockholm Pride has grown into one of Stockholm’s largest and most appreciated festivals and the largest Pride celebration in the Nordic region. Each summer the city is painted in the colours of the rainbow, both literally and symbolically. The festival aims to create a huge free zone for homosexual, bisexual and transgendered people, the LGBT community. In 2010 the park is bigger, the parade is longer and there is a record-amount of events at House. The theme of 2010 is Makt (Power) and you can listen to artists such as Marit Bergman, Safura, NEO and DJ SASH.

… to experience cool and thrilling rapids when you can go to Scandinavia? There are different destinations to chose between depending what you are looking for besides the activities in the rapids – welcome to contact us for tailor-made ideas.

In Voss, west Norway north of Bergen, we offer white water rafting, glacier hiking, river kayaking, tandem skydiving and much more. Every year, for a week in June-July, Voss hosts Ekstremsportveko, which is the largest sport and music festival of its kind – enjoy competitions in for instance longboarding, big air, freeride and rafting. A town with slogan “guaranteed to get your pants wet” is a must-do!

Åre in mid Sweden is known for winter activities such as dog sledding and snowmobiling but we love to come here also in the summer! When the snow and winter has left we offer activities such as rafting, riverboard and whitewater kayaking. Thrilling. Fun. Wet.

Welcome to Scandinavia – the perfect place for both winter and summer activities!

The Oslo office remains open.

Midsummer is one of the most important holidays of the year in Sweden and probably the most uniquely Swedish in the way that it is celebrated. As Swedes like to be well-ordered Midsummer Eve is always celebrated a Friday, meaning that it is not on the same date every year but always the Friday after the Summer Solstice .

Henrik Trygg

Midsummer is an occasion of large gatherings and a feast to fulfill your social obligations. It is an occasion with a certain nostalgia and pretty much all Swedes have an idea on what it should be like and how it should proceed. The main celebrations on the Friday include traditional events such as raising and dancing around the Maypole listening to traditional music. Some also wear traditional folk costumes and crowns made of wild sprigs and wildflowers. At the dinner table you find the year’s first potatoes, pickled herring, chives, sour cream and hopefully also the first Swedish strawberries of the season, accompanied by cold beer and snaps, the latter enjoyed with a drinking song.

At Midsummer, the Swedish summer is a lush green and bursting with chlorophyll, and the nights are scarcely dark at all. In the north, the sun never sets. There is also a mysterious touch to Midsummer when girls and young women on their way home are to pick seven different species of flowers and lay them under their pillows in order to dream of their future husbands. Legend says that the night before Midsummer’s Day is a magical time for love.
