Meetings in Trondheim
In Trondheim it is true to say that past and present live side by side in a particularly harmonious fellowship in a provincial town with a cosmopolitan feel. Trondheim is one of Norway’s most important historical cities, and was formerly one of the most visited pilgrim destinations in the whole of Europe, together with cities such as Rome and Jerusalem.
Meetings
Trondheim offers a rich selection of hotels summing up to 2.100 rooms in addition to excellent meeting and exhibition centres. NOVA conference centre just opened last autumn after having been restored. The largest plenary auditorium is for about 450 persons, 6 auditoriums for 100 persons, 2 auditoriums for 70 persons, large exhibition space and a number of smaller conference rooms. Trondheim’s Exhibition and Conference centre, Trondheim Spektrum, is just 15 minutes walking distance from the city centre and is beautifully located by the Nidelven river. Here they can arrange conferences for up to 3.000 persons in plenary. They also have a wide range of different sized meeting rooms/auditoriums.

Attractions
There are several attractions to visit – the Nidaros Cathedral is the most important church in Norway and is built over the grave of St. Olav. This church is well worth a visit.
Ringve Museum and Botanical Gardens is the only Norwegian Museum specializing in instruments from all over the world. The museum is situated at the Ringve estate on the historical Lade peninsula. The Gamle By bro (old town bridge) is a landmark in Trondheim that leads to the Bakklandet area located on the east side of the river Nidelva with old timber buildings, originally the homes of the working class and now restored housing a charming mixture of residences and shops.
