Welcome to Oslo
Few
capital cities are more beautifully situated than Oslo. It lies
at the end of an island-studded fjord that bears its name and is
bordered by forest-covered hills, snow-clad in the winter and cool
and green in the summer.
The Norwegians have always been seafarers and nearly all their
towns are to be found by the sea. Oslo is no exception - her harbour
extends almost into the city centre. Oslo is conveniently compact
with most shops, sights and restaurants within a relatively small
central area. Though the city centre is small in area it’s
packed with exciting things to do.
In the summertime, it never seems to really get dark and the warmth
of the long days lingers on well into the evening. No one seems
to want to go to bed and the open-air cafes and restaurants are
full of life and laughter. Out in the fjord are white sails and
the red and green navigation lights of the pleasure boats as they
come home from an evening on the salty waves.
- Walk on the wild side
- Viking Games & cruise
- Dinner onboard a vintage sailing ship
- Dine with the Trolls
- Bicycle rally
- Horse and sleigh through the forest
Oslo is not so much a city as a way of life!
