Located in the west, Gothenburg is the second largest city in Sweden as well as Scandinavia's largest port. With such a strong maritime tradition it is the natural site of the world's largest maritime museum.

This friendly city is also an industrial centre with many of Sweden's most famous companies calling it home. Gothenburg is also departing or arrival point of the historic Göta Canal, with its 58 locks that runs through the heart of Sweden.
